My Psyche is a specialist clinical psychology centre, designed to provide a holistic place for the exploration of the human mind.
Clinical Psychology services encompass assessment and therapy for young children, adolescents, adults, and parents/carers.
The presentations vary with a wide range and comorbid difficulties across attachment, emotional, psychological, social, behavioural, and familial complexities.
Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients. There is no bulk billing of these specialist services, even if you have a Health Care or Pension Card. The fees align with the APS recommended fee structure.
My Psyche is a practice founded by Director Dr Cynthia Borg, a registered clinical psychologist with close to 20 year’s experience.

Cynthia is a registered clinical psychologist with close to 20 years experience working in Europe and Australia. She has founded ‘My Psyche’ clinical psychology clinic, to encapsulate the importance of the human mind across all age groups.
She has had a broad range of experience which allows her to see very young children to elderly, all ages across the developmental spectrum. She speaks 5 languages and has an ability to therapeutically communicate with certain Southern European cultural groups within their native language. Being a mother herself, she is able to understand the complexities of parenting and motherhood.
She has commenced her career working clinically and research wise in psychiatric settings. Moving to Australia, she has worked in Disability Client Services. She has worked in Acute, Trauma and Rehabilitation Units. Pathing in Geriatric Rehabilitation and Movement Disorder Clinics (expanding her knowledge in neurological presentations such as Acquired Brain Injury, Parkinson’s Disease, and other Neurological Disorders).
She has then pursued to specialise in the child and family area; working at Chronic Pain Programme in the Royal Children’s Hospital and Children’s at Monash Medical. With the last decade working within Perinatal wards, miscarriage clinic, and postnatal psychological clinics in public hospitals and privately within her rooms.
Her leadership skills in senior positions within public health, has equipped her to manage complex presentations. Throughout her hospital based work, Cynthia has supervised neuropsychologists and clinical psychologists, managed clinical psychology programmes, and developed clinical guidelines along senior management. Cynthia has consulted to diverse Mother and Baby Units, Child Protection and Family Court around parenting matters, especially around best interests for children.
Cynthia is also board-approved supervisor, supervising registered psychologists, and has presented at national and international conferences.
